October 2012: Spain
Having recently returned from Spain’s wine regions where Michael Klauber and his wife Terri hosted a trip for Gulf Coast Connoisseur Club members, Klauber is pleased to bring Sarasota residents and visitors the freshest ideas and newest inspiration from Spain to his award-winning Sarasota restaurant in October.
“We returned so inspired by the tapas and brilliant cuisine, my culinary team decided to celebrate the best of Basque and Cataluña by featuring an entire three-course feast,” said Michael Klauber, co-proprietor of Michael’s On East.
A three-course Spanish Epicurean Adventure dinner menu is featured for $29.95 per person as well as a two-course lunch menu for $18.95 per person. Wine pairings were selected from an array of standout wines from Klauber’s recent tours and tastings throughout Spain’s La Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine regions. Verdejo, Marques de Riscal, Rueda, 2011 and Monastrell, “Honoro Vera”, Juan Gil, Jumilla, 2011 will be available for $10 per pairing during dinner and $5 per pairing during lunch.
